No a programming language background is not required in order to enroll your self for QA training. In order to test software you do not need to know how to write and compile blocks of code, but knowledge about operating systems and programming language methodologies are definitely helpful. As a beginner you are required to analyze and test the software from a user perspective, so basic computer knowledge is recommended.

At a later stage in your career you may want to familiarize your self with few programming languages to keep up and understand the internal working of the product more effectively but basically Software QA training does not have programming as a prerequisite.

QA training is well suited for people entering software testing for the first time, for people who are seeking a change in their career path and are looking to join the I.T. industry but are not very keen to learn programming, QA courses can also be beneficial for business and system analysts who prepare specifications, developers with no formal training or experience in testing and I.T. project managers who want a better understanding of testing.

Often even a Computer Science degree is not required for QA training, but analytical thinking and good communication and documentation skills are an added advantage. There are often internships and entry level positions available in large companies for a person who has gone through QA training.
